What did I do to launch my ebook “Change your thinking and manifest your dreams”
When I started writing my book and gathered all the information how to publish it, I first set a date to launch my book. I decided to sell my book on pre order. This means that on the date of the launch the book will be available to the world but in pre order you can buy the book before the launch date.
When the book is launched you’re the first to receive the book. Advantage is that as an author you have enough time to promote your book. I chose to publish my book on preorder with Smashwords on the 5th of September 2020, so within exactly 3 weeks.
What did I do to promote the book? When my book was finished I made a website for the book and a Facebook and Instagram page. I also made a twitter account. I started promoting my book on regular basis on these channels. I also started a blog on my website with new posts every 3 weeks.
As launch date comes closer I decided to intensify the social media posting. On 8th of august I scheduled 4 post on facebook every day. I posted a post in the facebook groups I joined. I posted every day on twitter and every week on Instagram.
On my website you can sign up for my readers list and I promoted this on all social platforms more intensively. I chose to give away a free ebook for everybody that signs up for my readers list.I also joined several book platforms when I started writing my book. Goodreads and bookbub are platforms I joined and also promote my book.
Working with influencers also helps when you are promoting your book. Another great way to promote your book is to use the affiliate option that Smashwords offers.
I have an affiliate program and that means when you promote my book on your social media and you sell a book with your affiliate link, you get 13% of the selling price as a bonus on your bankaccount.
I invite you to join this affiliate program and help me promote my book and earn money. So at this moment, exactly 3 weeks before launch date I’m very busy promoting my book. It is a busy but exciting time.
